The Flying Dutchman is one of Europa's three original rides to the park. It is basically a Giant Swing. You board one of the many Dutch Yachts and fly around the midst of Europa. As the entire ride spins, the boats fly outward into the air. It is similar to the Fjord Fjarlene in Scandinavia but not as aggressive. The Boats don't have an upward/downward motion. This ride is for everyone and is a quiet relaxing ride with a very short line.
This original ride to the park has just about had it! At the end of the 1998 season the Flying Dutchman may be replaced by an UPDATED Version! This is good. However, this is only a rumor.
