ROCKIN' REELER

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Rockin' Reeler which was bought used by Worlds Of Fun was added in 1991 as part of Beat Street but was Originally made by Chance Rides. It is a Himalayan type ride that is 48 feet in diameter and has a maximum capacity of 72 riders. Basically, it is a circular ride that has a few minor dips to it. Originally, this ride had a full-time working D.J. but now it just employs a few of the most popular pieces of music played in a continous cycle. This is a good ride for those who aren't up to the larger thrill rides. Note: this ride does use strobe lights.

INTERESTING FACTS

When asked, many people don't know what the Rockin' Reeler is! Does this prove that people are more into the "Thrill" rides such as Mamba, and the RipCord which sits right in front of the Reeler? Or is it just because it is nestled back in the corner of Beat Street? Gives you something to think about. Next time you're at WOF, ask someone if they know where the Rockin' Reeler is.
