THE SKYLINER

(1991 - PRESENT)

GENERAL INFORMATION The Skyliner is Worlds of Fun's ferris wheel. It is your basic Ferris Wheel and it was purchased and added in 1991 as a used ride. This ferris wheel is 60 feet tall and has open carriages. At night when all the rides' lights are turned on this one blazes above all the rest with 30,000 lights! It is located at the end of Beat Street in Americana.

INTERESTING FACTS

You have to do a LOT of walking to get to the Skyliner, that is because it is placed at one of the highest points in the park. It is well worth the walk though, because once you have reached the top, you get a Bird's Eye view of WOF. Another interesting fact is that the Skyliner tends to break down quite often. Most of the time there are riders that get stuck at the top. But not to worry if you are riding it and you get stuck at the top, the problem is usually fixed in about 10 - 20 minutes.
