Welcome to Scandinavia. Scandinavia is home to the Picnic Grounds, the Mysterious Blue Water and the Most Original Rides of the Park. Also located in Scandinavia is the New Front Gate.

THE RIDES

FJÖRD FJÄRLANE

This ride used to be called the River City Rampage. The Fjörd Fjärlane, is a blue, rather small circular ride. This ride is basically for everyone, but it should be known that the ride rotates, and there is sudden upward/downward movement. For more information on this ride Click Here.

VIKING VOYAGER

The Viking Voyager is an original park ride. It is a water flume ride or log ride in Viking boats. This ride is an all time favorite of Worlds Of Fun and the wait can sometimes be long. It should be noted that this is a form of water roller coaster with a final plunge of forty feet. Overall, this ride is for all ages. Click Here for more information on the Viking Voyager.

FINNISH FLING

Another original ride to World's Of Fun, though a great deal more violent then the others. The thrill to this ride is that it is a barrel that the floor drops out off and you are left stuck to the wall by centrifugal force as the barrel spins. This is a small ride and can easily be missed, but if you like motion this one is for you. For more information on this ride Click Here.

OCTOPUS

This ride has been moved three times. It was originally named the Oriental Octopus and was located where the Bamboozler is now. It was then moved and renamed in 1984 to the Tail Spinner and moved to the then named Pandemonium. Aerodrome, When Pandemonium opened it was re-named the Octopus. In 1997 it was moved to Scandinavia after a year disassembled. It works in a clockwise motion with swinging up and down arm movements. And, YES, it is Finally working! SEA DRAGON

Added in 1994 this is the newest addition to Scadinavia. Basically, it is simply a gigantic swing that starts slow and goes up to almost a 90 degree angle, though not all the way around like the Omegatron in Americana. One note about this ride: the only restraint is a communal lap bar. If you are small person (not just a child) you might have a tendancy to slip up out of the bar. ATTRACTIONS

TIVOLI THEATER

Singin', Swingin', & Rockin' the House is a tribute to the big band era of american history. It features a 12 piece Band and performers performing swing, rhythm and blues, Motown, disco and contemporary music. It lasts approximatly 25 minutes. It performs from May 29 to August 16 and has no shows on Wednesdays. SHOW TIMES:

1pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm, 5pm
Friday and Saturday
1pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm, 4:45pm, and 6pm

PICNIC FACILITIES

Worlds of Fun has those places for large groups to gather for fun. All of them are in Scandinavia. There is the Tivoli East, Central, South and West picnic Pavillions as well as the Festhaus. All are available for use. For reservations call (816) 454-4545 Ext. 30.
