Welcome to the Unofficial Oceans of Fun WebSite! Oceans Of Fun opened on Memorial Day 1982 and was at the time the largest water park in the world! It is still the largest in the Mid-West. It was built with a Caribbean theme which it still carries today. The park was designed as a seperate entity from Worlds Of Fun but they are now today both joined through the Same-Day Gateway and the Monsoon, a ride they both share.

FAMILY
CARIBBEAN COOLER
This is my favorite of the none water slides. This is a slow and winding ride that you may either float or walk through. It is very similar to a calm river. This is a Great way to relax in the hot Afternoon.

BUCCANEER BAY
This original attraction is a natural lake in which you can ride in your own kayak or ride bumper boats. Fun for the entire family. A life jacket must be worn at all times.

TYPHOON
The Typhoon is composed of two high-speed, hump backed speed slides. Oceans of Fun's Typhoon slides are some of the fastest speed slides in the country!

SURF CITY WAVE POOL
This has got to be my absolute favorite! It starts out as your basic pool that goes from 0' to 8' in depth. However, at ten minute cycles on and off the waves run at surf city. This is really fun in an tube. However I do not recommend small children in the very deep water (past the line) during the waves.

ARUBA TUBA
Aruba Tuba consists of two water slides, One which is totally inclosed and an open slide each with many twists and bumps. Then you splash down into Coconut Cove.

COCONUT COVE
Im a little weird but I really like this area. This is your basic 4' pool which includes floats and small water slides. There are also interactive areas and water playgrounds. It is pretty cool.

DIAMOND HEAD
The original three water slides to Oceans Of Fun. This is a water slide complex of three diffrent water slides (Waikiki Wipeout, Honolulu Lulu, and Maui Ouaii) that end in the same 4' deep pool.

MONSOON
This ride is shared by both Worlds Of Fun and Oceans Of Fun. It is a large water flume ride that sends its 20 passengers down a 50-foot waterfall, accelerating to speeds up to 35 mph. Finally, crashing into a 425,000 gallon lagoon. This creates a giant tidal wave that hits anyone standing on the bridge. My advice to riders, to get wet sit in the front a little off to the side. CHILDRENS
CAPTAIN KIDDS
An interactive pirate ship for children. It includes waters slides, water guns, spray nozzles, and other play elements.

CROCODILE ISLE
A water playground for children with slides and floating animals. Interactive features include spray nozzles, a giant mushroom waterfall, and a water playground.

ADULT
CASTAWAY COVE
There is something for everyone at Oceans Of Fun and for those tired adults there is a place to be alone without children. This is an adults only (21 and over) 5' pool and tropical drinks bar.

TRADER NICK'S
Trader Nick's is basically the Entrance to Oceans of Fun. Here there are souvenirs and you can rent lockers and buy sunscreen, t-shirts and more.

OPERATING SCHEDULE
TRIP TIPS
• Inner Tubes CAN be rented at Oceans Of Fun for $3 for a day. You get a dollar back when it is brought back. You can rent them at Surf City, The Caribbean Cooler and Coconut Cove.
• Oceans Of Fun has all day locker rentals for $3 dollars a day, You get $2 dollars back when the key is returned.
• If you forget anything Oceans Of Fun does carry t-shirts, suntan lotion, cameras etc at Trader Nick's also located just inside the main gate.
